Peter the Hermit was a man who was very simple. He was an ordinary man who was very religious. He gatherd men and young boys, that were old enought to fight. Sometimes he even gathedred whole towns. Then Peter took all of the poeple and made them into an army that will fight off the enemies in the Crusades. The army was made of ordanary people that didn't have any previous experience. Peter also had no experience in orginizing big groups. Because of this many people died or were taken prisoner. Peter and the rest of his army went to Consatinople to help the Bysantine Emperor. His soldiers decided to lead themselves and attacked the turks. So, most of the army got chrushed and the turks left their bodies to bleach in the sun. Only some remained.
